To be fair to Reg, he was probably born about 60 years or so too late.  He'd have been much more at home seeing the Monarchy and Empire collapse, the rise of the Unions, Swindon being one of the best teams int he Country playing exhibition games in France to grow the game internationally, the birth of the NHS and expansion of the railways and the rise of the Labour party to power.

Instead he's had to watch Swindon decline to the fourth division, the mines close, Globalisation, 100 odd years of Thatcherism, kids having their school milk taken away from them, jumpers not being good enough for goalposts anymore, and some upstart non league team up the road usurping our historical rivals and playing in a higher league than us every o often.

I think most Town fans would be very happy with Flitcroft leaving and Rosler arriving, whether or not that even realistic I don't know but I would guess anything is possible.
But does he like cheese ?.

I've a hunch he'll take it if it's offered to him.

I'm not sure what to feel about that. I'm no fan, but the timing is awful. We'd have to find a replacement quickly and he'd need to hit the ground running.

I agree totally on all of that.

Although I don't think hes done as bad a job as many Town fans think he has I am not much of a fan of his.

Maybe any new bloke will recall Vigs.

I’d make Matt Taylor/Alan Mac as caretakers until season’s end.

May not be a bad thing,  but as you say, we haven't a lot of time to fuck about,  Power needs to get his ass in gear PDQ, or has he already got plans,  I assume if it's now public knowledge,  he must have known before today what was going on behind the scenes.

Come to think of it, that could be the replacement sorted. Taylor sounds like the type that could be management material.

It's all speculation though, of course.
