He is giving time to AFC Portchester, a community-based club in the Wessex League who run 30 teams, from Under-sevens to veterans: "Their attitude is refreshing – guys who work all day and are still prepared to come in and train. I'm just helping them out, it gives me something to do, gets my work juices flowing again. I'm not bothered about being Mr Big Shot, I just want to pass on what I've got in my head, whether it's at an academy, reserve team, Under-21s, anything. Without blowing my own trumpet, that's where my forte lies."
Hope he isn't involved with the under 16s

I think that was his problem in the first place.

The FA banned him from that. I know this because it's the only sensible thing they've ever done.

Was it a lifetime ban, as he was done in 1999 which scarily was 17 years ago (I am dead good at maths), I vividly remember it which makes me realise how bloody old I am!

He's no longer on the SOR but I've not seen a time limit mentioned on the FA ban. Let's hope not!

Stephen Robinson (Who??) appointed new Oldham manager. Apparently he was Michael O'Neill's assistant with Northern Ireland.
Bet that appointment has got them excited up Oldham way!
Sean O'Driscoll is apparently on coaching staff there. What are the odds on him being number one at Boundary Park by about November?

On another league one new manager... Port Vale's manager has signed about 12 foreigners from really obscure teams all over Europe.... Risky strategy, I can see them struggling next year.

He was in a bit of a Blackpool situation though, with only 10 players I think.  I imagine some agents are involved, has Rufus been seen up there?

Steve Robinson was an international with 400+ FL appearances. You must have gone dolally when Luke Williams was appointed Town manager.

Oldham fans are probably just happy that an appointment has been made.

Have you seen his Wiki? It suggests he was born in 1980?  Hmmm

It does seem quite a left field appointment by Oldham even though hes been assistant at Motherwell for a while under previous Town managerial target Ian Baraclough and assistant for the national side of NI.

Still gotta start somewhere in management, apparently he has signed 3 ex Motherwell players already.

Off to Sunderland then.

I also hear Kenny Jackett could be removed as boss at Wolves in the next few days after their takeover was completed.
