So he says.... He says it's because he wanted to stay loyal to Swindon. Local press say it's because he was faffed about on terms and conditions. Local press seem to be taking it as a 'triumph' over Power as Power accused the press of making up stories, even though Cooper's version contradicts the press's version. Yes...press bollocks. I don't give a shit. World class manager .....in his own head.

I think this would be a really odd move for him, seeing as a section of the support thought he was rubbish as a player and gave him such a hard time as a "Daddies Boy" and blamed him for the relegation last time around.
Also the run of form Barnsley are in could get them in the play off's and they have a bye in the JPT Final.
Hope he stings them along and then turns them down. It'll be fun watching the infighting as to whether he'll do a good job or not.

Lee Johnson's quite an odd appointment because he wasn't exactly popular person when he was a playing for them.
It'll divide their fanbase instantly... again.

Paul Clement sacked by Derby as well
5 live. Apparently sacked because they're not playing "the Derby Way" Steve Claridge...I hear this "way" thing a lot now, what does it mean? A Ram fan on the text....Clement's possession based slow football is boring.... Derby chairman...."it's not about promotion but about style and developing players" Sean Dyche, "I've never heard a chairman say that before"

The irony. Managers are either sacked for:
1. acting in the club's long term interests and developing players instead of playing the finished (more expensive) article; or
2. Failing to act in the club's long term interests and signing expensive short term fixes.
Or just being shit. Clement clearly isn't one of those.
