Let's remember the FA are toothless so will probably slap him on the bum and tell him dont be a naughty boy again, now run away and carry on with Wigan. Not quite, that was the start of the conversation, he was then asked if Jewish people liked money more than others and said yes, and said that any white man who'd say they'd never called a Chinaman a chink was a liar. Oh, and he pulled out the 'I've got loads of Jewish friends' line.
It's all a bit pathetic but someone should probably take his shovel away.
The weird thing about this for me is that Mackay isn't good enough to make it worth the flak. Surely there are plenty of managers at a similar level who wouldn't have attracted this?

I agree. He's just a confused old twat. Like to know the hundreds of Jewish people he has as friends, though. The thing is as well, he is probably right about the majority of people having used he word 'Chink' and the like. People do love being holier than thou |

If the main concern of the Jewish community is people saying they like money, I'd say they're winning.
Everybody uses negative stereotypes to describe people but most are ignored or accepted. Based on where they live people can be called slave traders or homosexuals, based on their country of birth they can be called animal molesters or alcoholics, based on their nationality they can be called criminals, said to surrender easily or keep changing sides. Then there are the people with ginger hair. The list goes on.
The comments Whelan made, when read in the full context of the interview, weren't even made negatively.
