Question for OF, Eric...what's the deal with Constable?  I've seen him described as one of your genuine stars, but have also seen contradictory reports.  This weekend, for example, there was one comment to the effect that he was off the pace and out of his depth - yet again.  It was the 'yet again' bit that surprised me.  Is he a luxury player...great when he decides he wants to play, but otherwise a bit of a passenger?

I know him quite well and yes he is a Swindon fan and would love a move to us.

Doubt it will happen though but he aint a half bad player.

Bridges have surely been burned now? Or are we not fussed anymore?

I could forgive him if he eventually saw the error of his ways. I think it'd be different if he was here and then defected.

If we did get him would we force a strict code of conduct on him like B Munich did to Neuer?

A reasonable forward who found his level. We should aim for better though

Always thought he looked a good, composed striker.

Seemed to always produce some nice neat finishes for Oxford.

Obviously scores plenty of goals which makers him a star in some people's eyes. Others look at his poor conversion rate of chances to goals. He certainly works hard for the team, if that isn't too much of a cliche.

I know he's from Wiltshire, but don't think he's ever been a Swindon fan.

I dunno, the Swindon gear he used to wear at Cirencester College gave me a different impression.

Went to university with a chap that knew him and he's a swindon fan first, Spurs fan second. If your employer hated STFC, would you pipe up and admit to supporting STFC?! actually i would and then join STFC anyway...

he's definately not shit in league 2. his numbers stack up very well

I don't see why we would even consider a 'not shit in League 2' player.

Going to be pretty fucking useless to us next season...

I'm taking the bait.... but you're happy with Bodin (a youth team striker with zero goals), De Vita (in and out of the team at Scottish 2nd Division champions) and Kerrouche (United Arab Emirates 2nd division last year)?

I like all three mentioned but constable, a proven league 2 striker, would have a better chance of firing up to league 1. that's the most important thing!
