Hi guys .. I know this won't be the greatest first post but I signed up to this forum when I heard that Kerrouche had signed. Not to slag him or anything but his stats on Wikipedia are completely false and I'm guessing edited by someone close to him. I've actually gone and edited his page.

Anyways, his stats with USM Alger were listed as 19 goals in 21 games. In reality, he scored 1 goal in 5 games and was released 6 months after signing with the club.

As for his stats with GFCO Ajaccio (D4 France), they were listed as 23 games and 14 goals when really he scored 6 goals in 17 games

Finally, for his stats with Al-Oruba last season, I know for a fact that he scored 1 league goal in 3-4 league games before being released. I haven't found a reference for that yet but shouldn't be long.

Like I said, not the greatest entrance to the forum (when I post these kinds of msgs on other club forums they usually accuse me of being a fan from a rival club .. especially when its Scottish clubs ), but I just don't like seeing players embellish stats like that. I'm very familiar with Algerian football (I like to consider myself an expert ), so I know this player quite well.

Hi Tony, welcome to the TEF.

Wikipedia is a pretty useful tool, but I sincerely hope that nobody would take what is on there as fact on any subject.

Moreso I'd hope Paolo Di Canio didn't sign a player based on his Wiki page!

That said, it was an interesting point made and I guess we'll have to see as to whether someone has pulled an Ali Dia on us!

Hard to say to be honest just for the simple fact that I don't know what the level is like in League Two. He certainly isn't the mostly gifted athlete so that might be an issue in the English game. However, if the level is similar to the French 4th division he should be OK.

PS. Only reason I wrote about his Wikipedia stats was because someone had posted them in the previous page or two .. and thanks for the welcome
