He looks alright. Some good touches, flicks and passes... decent free kicks too.

Looks a bit slow - and seems to play very deep. Where is our target man?

So was Matt Le Tiss and he was a bit good. I get what you mean though. There is supposed to be a domestic striker on trial as well. Perhaps he's the target man we are craving constantly like lesbians.

What is the infatuation with a target man?!! We don't necessarily need one.

Would like to see a big target man in the squad if only to give us options if a game isn't going well.
A target man doesn't always have to mean long ball or high balls, its the rough and tough strength option that you sometimes need especially when coming up against big bully Centre backs of which league 2 will have more than its fair share.

Why does it need to be hoof ball?
You could even look at it that if we were trying to hold on to a game its good to have a big man to bring on to hold the ball up at the opposition end
Its a matter of opinion i guess, but its better to have a variety of forwards than 4 that have the same or similar strengths

We were fucking brilliant without a target man last season weren't we. You need someone who can hold the ball up and bully the opposition centre backs. He need not play 90 minutes of every game, but you need one in the squad. Even more so at this level, where skill is at a premium.
And to be frank, anyone who thinks otherwise is just wrong.

I'd rather have someone who can score goals than a player that will hold the ball up.

People are deluded if they think we are going to get out of League 2 playing pretty football.
We played pretty direct under Sturrock and will need to do so again. Having a strong player up front who won't get bullied out of games can only be a positive.

All very well have a striker who can score goals but if their bullied off the ball it'll mean fuck all. Having a strong presence up front means the CB's will target him so your 20+ goal scorer will do the job. Paynter did that for us in our promotion years as did Wayne Alison.

You and Dave may want to have a word with Chesterfield then who managed to piss this fucking league last year playing good football.Oh and funnily enough they did it without a striker over 6ft but i will let you 2 pundits carry on with your false beliefs
