My last laptop was a HP. I had it for about 5 years and no problems whatsoever, contrary to the reliability thing. Bought a HP G62 to replace it, partly because Staples had mis-priced it, and its working a treat so far.

Hard to test the keyboard tho if you want the savings involved in buying online tho jonny. As you probably use yours for work it might not be a priority to Tom

Sure it's not a priority for everyone. Though you can always go in to PC World to try out the various brands keyboards.

I do use mine for work, couldn't stand the Dell they gave me so I dumped it and use my Macbook Pro instead. Have to use Windows at work though so run it as a virtual machine, which is actually faster than the Dell.

I think if your laptop is in such a state after 4 years reliability may not be the biggest issue Smiley

god this is frustrating, hate shopping around for this sirt of thing...

ok, so thanks to stfcinbmth i've registered with quidco and with their £30 off offer at pc world and with 3% cashback i can get this:
