Embarrassing for David Cameron because did he not go to Rebekah Wades wedding recently?

No doubt others have done it but Murdoch got caught, the others didn't

If the others get caught then yes, they should also be boycotted.

Yep, they have been caught, they are the first, and some of the allegations are particularly despicable (whether true or not, they are in the public mindset now)....I just feel the tide of public opinion against them will reach a critical mass and will be too strong to pull back.....hence, why I think the notw is finished...

Other may have done it yes, but only the red tops, not the broadsheets surely?

I get the Adver.
That's only because I get it delivered and I got a cheap deal (£1 a week or something) and i've never bothered to cancel it after that Smiley

It is estimated the NOTW generates £38M pa in ad revenue alone..with newspaper sales falling drastically across the industry the ad revenue is the only way they can continue to make money. Therefore with the likes of Ford, Vauxhall etc pulling out this could be the beginning of the end for this turgid rag as eeven the NOTW cannot survive soley on the revenue generated by Adult Wank lines in the back of the classifieds..!!

Looking at the Global fortune of Rupert M I doubt he is too worired as it is just a drop in the ocean to him...I for one never buy it as it is shite anyway.

On a slightly different note...who does Rebekah Wade score on a 1-10 of "Someone you shouldnt but would?"

I suspect the notw is finished....many advertisers already pulling out...

I suspect it isn't. There will be noises of a 'root and branch reform', people will be rightly hung out to dry.  And then it'll all settle down a bit. And it'll somehow carry on.

Remember when the NOTW printed this:

http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/notw/_news/nolnews_opinion/nolopinion_notwsays/1310183/If-we-lose-sight-of-the-poor-mites-at-the-heart-of-this-issue-we-are-all-guilty.html

Quote
SHAMELESS Sharon Shoesmith yesterday refused to take the rap over the death of Baby P - as it emerged her legal payout could be DOUBLED to £4million.

Presumably shameless Rebekah Wade be getting the same NOTW treatment on Sunday.

I won't be buying it again. Which is a shame as I think we'll feature heavily in the footy section.

The fact that this is the lead story on most of the national radio and television news, but is struggling to get much of a feature in several of the tabloids indicates a fair few might be hoping this goes away before people look too deeply at them.
