He played his final year at Leeds as a full back and was offered a contract but didn't want to stay because he wanted to play CM. I know a few Leeds fans who would have him back even now. IMO he would get into a Championship side no problem.

But lets just concentrate on last season. All his fault.

Yes

Because that's exactly what is being said, isn't it?

Perhaps we just notice our own more than those that happen to others?  In my experience most football fans feel that everything bad happens to their club.

Some people are implying that as captain he played a big part in the team getting relegated, yes. Maybe not Robert T.

Robert T please forgive me for putting words into your mouth.  Roll Eyes

He was on a free, but yet no championship team wanted him, no team from the upper echelons of League One wanted him, he ended up at Brentford of all places.

Says it all really, who'd have thought that Dougie would be turning out for Brentford and Cuthbert at Orient next season, didnt picture that a couple of years ago....

But instead he's going to Brentford.

Shame for him no Championship side took a punt on him.

Class player, going to be sorely missed.

Some of the bitter remarks are hilarious.

I disagree.

How so

We had one of the most costly squads in the league, of which he was captain, and we went down without a fight.

Of course he played a massive part.

What?

He played a part not a massive part. Look at the players he had in front and behind him. There lied the problem.
