Personally I miss the sound of the town end roaring on the team...also miss the banter in th pub before a game and the sound of seats as everyone stands up during an attack??

The Merlin.

I have no need to go there for anything other than a pre-match/post-match pint.

The relief I get at 1650 every other saturday when I realise I don't have to watch that shit again for a couple of weeks.

I don't miss it at all......a break is good, come the Friday before the first game I'll start to get excited....sometimes take in pre season games and will go and watch some training, which I regard as an invaluable exercise in judging squad mood etc.

By 5 o clock on the Sat, I'll probably be pissed off, but these days it only lasts for 5 minutes.

Opening day wins on the road are rare....95/96 at Hull, good season  91/92 at Charlton por season.

In truth I miss my bi-weekly nictoine fix.  For 90 minutes every two weeks I must smoke the equivalent of 10 ten fags a match thanks to a lovely chain smoking couples.  Thankfully now we've moved I'm free from the cigaretti's
