I know my nippers are gonna be asking for a new Xbox soon...  Roll Eyes

What Xbox do they have currently? The "older" XBO got tweaked and upgraded (including a digital option) but also means the "newer" Xbox One S 1TB has 4K & HDR support too.

Isn't really worth getting the XBX as little extra between that and the latest XBO. Unless they have the X already? If they have the previous gen XBO as opposed to the latest gen O then I'd say it will be worth getting them the O over the X.

Also, a note on 4K capability. Gamers are only going to get true 4K if you have a 4K screen and most people do not have this. All those buying a PS5 (or latest gen Xbox) thinking they will see even more vast improvements...well they will be buying technical improvement of course but if they don't have the screen capability, it will be virtually unnoticeable to the average eye. Then they'll have to go out and buy a 4K tv/monitor too.

I think Argos are doing pre-sales tomorrow, so might try them. It's not exactly exhausting work keeping a tab open on my laptop whist i work.

Did you have to pay up front?

Tried pre-ordering a PS5 from Argos this morning. Naturally their website crashed.

I now have 2 pending transactions on my Amex and another on my current account, but order confirmations. I'll either end up with three, or most likely nothing at all!

Epic Games are doing really, really well with the free games, I know a lot of folks are Steam-only but it's well worth a look.

bamboo, I got a launch Xbox One. Had plenty of use out of it, the kids use it more now, but still play CoD every now and then when I wanna get my arse kicked by 12 year olds...
