Delivery of trees and shrubs to a mansion on the South Coast today....arrived after some difficulty getting into the grounds....man of the house came to meet me and for the next hour helped me unload the lorry.....was no other than Dan Snow...what a good bloke he is to...had a good chat about Swindon and was asking about the Spitfire Supermarine built at Vickers.
This year they are digging a site believed to contain the remains of a shot down spitfire.
Anyway on leaving i stopped in the New Forest near near Exbury.....stunning today with the gorse starting to bloom.....found a nice big Gorse bush to have a jimmy then suddenly was confronted by three New Forest Ponies...i swear one was fucking grinning....anyway in the melee to scramble back to the lorry i nearly tore my todger off
Will have to take it a bit easy at Southampton tomorrow.....been a rather surreal ending to my working week.
