Elliott Benyon

"I’ve scored a few goals in League Two, and I’m hopeful I can come here and do the same thing"

That would be great, of course, but he'll have to wait till next season to do the same thing.

Torquay local rag reported we paid £125,000 with up to £25k in add-ons plus sell-on clause!

Interesting.

I'd have thought competition for his signature made this type of deal necessary.

However with only a few months left on his contract, the "five figures" reports seemed almost credible.

Is £125k "five figures" -  cos £125,000 isn't?

Benyon has declared himself fit for Saturday. Obviously not the hamstring tear we feared.

And Pericard coming back into contention!  What strength in depth that is.

Some people are never fucking happy

we really really could have done with 2 permanent strikers to take the pressure off Benyon.

I still rekon that Ryan Taylor would compliment him perfectly and would be available at a pittance.

Looking at options for strikers, another door closed. Ryan Taylor signed a 3 year deal with Bristol City.

Be interested to know what the fee was.

This was about a week ago wasn't it ?

I'm amazed Le Fondre is still at Rotherham.

He majorly went off the boil for the last few months of the season I think, didn't score much at all. Possibly put potential buyers off.

A few on here would wet themselves if we signed Adam The Fonz.

Doubt Rotherham would let him go for under £300k, maybe a lot more.
