As some of you may be aware, my computer broke recentley and i had to replace the hard drive, losing everything....

I have re-downloaded iTunes and then re-downloaded all of my music (it wasnt saved on iTunes as I hadn't bought it from iTunes). I also lost all of the photos that were on my computer but luckily they were saved on my phone.

My concern is that when I go to sync my iPhone, it comes with a message about new itunes and replacing everything. So fair enough, it will replace the music which is now in my library again but i'm worried it will delete the photos saved on my phone (they have not been taken on the phone, just transfered to it) which is why im worried iTunes will delete them.

Will it delete them or do they have nothing to do with iTunes?

Sorry for the long post!

Before you sync the iPhone, change the settings in iTunes to not sync photos. It shouldn't remove them from the device then.

Also, you can browse the phone in Windows like you would with a digital camera and save the photos that way.

When i do this, I can only see the photos taken with the phone and not the ones that are just saved on there.

Right, I managed to copy all the saved photos onto my computer using diskaid.

However, when i tried to copy th pictures on my camera roll to my computer, they either came up as .BTH attachment, which my computer wont open or .THM, which i assumed was thumbnails and when i open them, they are really small (this is when using diskaid)

I cant copy the photos from the iPhone folder as it doesnt appear in My Computer!

Any ideas?

Email them to yourself or upload to Mobile Me.

Check they are full quality before you hit the destroy button though.

Yeh, there aren't that many on the camera roll so I will do that. Cheers.
