You get the impression that he might be new to supporting Crawley...

Aren't pretty much all of them Wink

Personally though I cant see it, we are a buying club now not a selling club.

I do hope that is tongue in cheek.

Totally agree, every club is a selling club if the price is right...

In my book a selling club sells its best assets for the first close to acceptable bid that comes in, like we used to be.

Or selling your best players to "balance the books" every single season just to make ends meet.

All clubs no matter how big will accept a silly bid for one of their players.

So what you are saying is that Man City are a selling club because they are holding out for exactly what they want with Tevez? much as we are doing with Ritchie and Caddis. We don't NEED to sell them thats what being a selling club is.... The NEED to sell players.

Or do you have different deinitions of being a selling club?

We run at a loss each season so we either sell players when the time and money is right or we go into admin when the board decide they've bailed us out for the last time.

Completely agree that we don't need to sell at the first opportunity but, until we can run as a standalone profit-making club, we will ALWAYS be a selling club. It's just a matter of when.

Carrying on about Tubbs, irrelavant whether he is actually coming or not but these quotes from the Creepy forum make me laugh, God I now wish he would sign just to upset these people....

Quote
Matt will never leave Crawley.

Quote
Evans has said in todays Observer he'll run naked across the Broadfield if Tubbs goes to Swindon

Now that 2nd one is worth the admission fee on its own Cheesy

I only just realised the window shuts on Tuesday, it's gone very quickly and with games Saturday and Tuesday, you would have thought that if we are going to do anymore business it would be before the game on Saturday.

Would have thought we would be focusing on the game. It is still possible we could buy in that time, just thought it might be a bit less likely.

I do find it interesting that the club has essentially gone into lock-down this week on the transfer front.

Although they will be focusing on Leicester, there is no way that they'd jeopardise the League by giving themselves a week off from the transfer market.

Thursdays have been the day for club news of late... I'm suitably/irrationally excited for tomorrow.

I'm not suggesting we will, but if I were selling players I'd wait until after the Leicester game.

As you can tell, I won't sigh a sight of relief until after I wake up on Wednesday and we haven't sold anyone!
