Well if you could, it wouldn't be a surprise would it? Hmmm

I see your point  Smiley

Would love to see us pull off a surprise win, but sadly can't see it.

I don't think any of us could see it when we went to The Valley in March 2000 either.  Charlton were top of the table and went on to win the title with 91 points, while we finished bottom that season with 36 points.  But happily, 3 of those 36 points were nicked that afternoon during a highly improbable win.  Good fun it was too.

In an effort to avoid a serious bout of depression, I'm going to stop reading this thread until kick off.

That season we'd just beaten Huddersfield mid week to prevent us going 20(?) games without a win. We were on a high.

I would be over the moon with a drab, non-entertaining, dull, scrappy 0-0 draw from the game this evening.

I know what will happen though, Town will get dicked and the thought of going back to work in the morning will leave me feeling even worse.

You reds!

Correct. That has to be the most ridiculously unlikely win ever. A win on that occasion looked far more unlikely than it does today. It should not have happened and 999 out of a thousand it would not...but it did. I'm not saying we're definitely going to win but I would never, ever give us no chance of winning, whoever we're playing.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us come away with a win - Charlton are a much weakened side from last season, their top scorer is out, and in their last home match they lost 1-0 to bottom of the league Walsall.

I'm going for 3-0 Charlton. I'm still in total pessimistic mode. My daughter is going 2-1 Town with Prutton scoring first so on to Ladbrokes i go. I've never bet on us to lose so I'll go with my daughters predictions.
14-1 for 2-1 and 25-1 Prutton. 200-1 for both.
