credit to wilson, too. At half-time i was thinking there was only one winner. I know we had edged ahead, but they just looked a bit sharper, clinical and more 'up for it'. The shape and ebb and flow of the game changed in the second half and we really took the game to them, so fair play.

Lucas made an incredible save and will now probably get his place back. Still think a frampton-style player is needed, so maybe he'll get the nod at oldham/crawley? Morrison did ok, but he's still akin to going long and getting done by a quicker player...

Nicky hammond was there taking detailed notes of morrison and austin...

I didn't jinx the team for once!

Which could have been down to a couple of things.

I didn't wear a town shirt to the game.
The hat I purchased only hours before the game is a lucky charm.
I wore 2 pairs of socks for the first time to a game.
I had fried chicken in a bap for the first time from the van outside the townend.
I put a bet on in corals for the first time before a Swindon game.

loved the arkells fans having a go at their fat coach when he was kicking off about smith not getting sent off. What a busy cnut.

also, thought irvine dropped a bollock taking johnson off - he was giving us all sorts of problems...

I thought he was a nuisance that Johnson, the better of the 2 strikers. However shows how strong their squad is when they can bring on Paul Heffernan who would surely be first choice for most League 1 teams.

And all without their best striker Neil Mellor

Yep. They have a pretty decent set of striking options really. Think Mellor would have given us some trouble so glad he didn't play. Still wouldn't swap Austin for any of their strikers though.

Their decision to take johnson off was ludicrous. Morrison looks past it

Baz Savage a few seasons back was even better and Taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaylor of Oldham is normally good for a strop.

I see that Stuart Pearce was there also, wonder if he was looking at Austin for the U-21's

More likely it was the closest match to his home in Marlborough that he could get to!

Actually it was rumoured on the Radio he was there to watch Austin,

Lawrie Sanchez was there as well if not already mentioned, not sure if he was just there for the match or watching for somebody, i have no idea what he does now...

He mostly goes around sporting dodgy haircuts and facial fluff.
