Bamboo Gardens in Highworth is pretty good. Although it's called something else now... I forget what.

I had no idea that Swindon and district had so many Chinese take aways.  I like the Chinese, provide a really good service and keep a low profile....pun not intended.

Back in the 70's when I lived in Portsmouth, there used to be a seedy flea pit cinema, which showed nothing but porn films.....when you went in there for an afternoons entertainment, it was invariably full of Chinamen, yet somehow you never noticed them the rest of the time.

The Chinese that I have met, and I have met a few, have always been horrid people (bar one). Unashamedly greedy and self centred with little or no respect or consideration for anyone else.

Fair enough, but do you know of a decent take away in Bangkok, and do they deliver?

we had the exact same question last night, and came to the conclusion that there wasn't.

so had a thai from poms instead pretty good quality and value. as good as thai orchid for my money without the ridiculous prices. can recommend poms for a good value meal. thai is better than chinese anyway

think we've only had one chinese in swindon and it was from connies in old town and it was fucking hideous and fucking expensive.

eldene's my local chinese. i gave up on it as everything is just loaded with garlic and too greasy for my liking.the curry is ok and i have that sometimes though.
i used terry's for a while and it was very good but imo it went downhill.
i'll give the one on faringdon road a go next time, but zen was decent(thanks chubbs)

A friend of mine speaks very highly of the little place more or less opposite St Tropez.

Doesn't look much from the outside, but she knows a thing or two about eating out.

tried the one on faringdon road the other day.
was pretty shit to be honest.food was generally very greasy, and the pork balls were fucking terrible.threw most of them away as they were so tough to bite into and fatty.

i'll be sticking with zen for a delivery in the future.

I think they've gone downhill,  we had one last weekend and ended up leaving half of it because it was fatty.
