Boring but a moneysaver nonetheless.....

Firstly I just got £65 cashback deal through quidco to switch my broadband (previously plusnet) and phone (previously BT) over to Virgin and will be saving an additional £10 per month.

If you access Virgin Media through quidco to get all (tv/broadband/phone), they'll give you up to £165 cashback(depending on what speed broadband and tv package you choose).

I then phoned sky on a freephone number (0800 051 2597) telling them I wanted to cancel sky tv and move to virgin tv (not that I did, just wanted to see what they would do). They just halved my monthly cost from £40 per month to £20 for next 6 months.

Think the Virgin Media cashback deal through Quidco ends tomorrow for those interested.

NB If you can be arsed setting up a quidco account, do your homework on the £140 cashback npower deal they've currently got which takes you to their gosave tariff . I say this as with my usage of 11600 kw per annum for Gas and 3400kw for electricity says that I'd be £200 better off per year with their sign online 19 deal rather than the gosave deal.

I've just switched to the Sign Online 19. I only use 5000kw of gas per year though (no gas central heating).

stop press.....looks like it gets even better for me by taking just the broadband and phone as I've just read this:-

Your Cashback will track in at a rate of £65.00 and uplift to the full Casback amount upon validation if eligible

would seem that sign online 19 is one of the best deals around at the minute then...i'm just awaiting npower getting back to me to see how I can still qualify for £40 cashback by accessing their site via quidco

Just go through Quidco as normal, click through to the npower site and just choose the Sign Online 19 tariff. I did and my cashback tracked ok (£40).

when i tried earlier it was only taking me to the gosave deal (probably a deliberate ploy by npower to get you to sign up for the more expensive gosave tariff!).....just tried it again now and the signonline 19 option is there now cheers

You have to take all 3 sevices for the £165.00 if you only take the 2 services you only get £65.00.

i did think that initially but my 'recent activity' notification on my quidco account shows £165.00?? and the promotion does state broadband, phone and/or tv so that implies maybe 2 out of the 3 products??

who knows?....either way its winner winner chicken dinner
