if the mrs will accept the silver one,try and bargain with the garage.say you will consider the silver one if a discount is applied.if they refuse say you will have to think about it,then contact the c.a.b.
if she flately doesn't want a silver one, then ask for your money back and take it from there.

In the end she went in fuming. She got a better spec, a red car and full tank of petrol on delivery.
She's a bit happier now.
Never use those cowboys at Motorpark.

Not really, because she's lost out on a free bluetooth, Ipod, tinted windows, sat nav. All worth £1300.

What is she gaining in its place? Just being nosey rather than argumentative.

So they had a red one after all? Can they get away with a cancellation fee? I could understand them being covered so you couldn't sue them for failing to provide the car ordered, but forcing you to take another colour or pay a cancellation fee seems a bit crazy.
Indeed, I'd fucking flip. Someone fucks up and then you have to pay for their inability to provide what you paid for makes no sense.

Seat have a special offer of a seat ibiza for £199 pm with bluetooth, tinted windows, ipod, sat nav all free worth £1300. The deal is called good stuff.
She ordered the car, and then they ring up saying they don't have the 'good stuff' in red anymore and can only get it in silver. They offered her a red ibiza for the same price, the same car but without the freebies. So, in fairness you are paying the same and getting less. She hit the roof. Stormed in there, which is fairplay, and got a better model for the same price.
It was the manner. They knew they couldn't get the car she wanted but decided to leave it for nearly two weeks!
