I don't think that article was about Ward as he played Bolton's first game last season and it says the player has never played for their Premier League club.

Our wage cap is 5k a week, we offered paynter 6k but leeds offered him 8k. Dougie Lucas and Greer were top earners, and heard Austin may be on about 2800.

I heard Douglas was our top earner on about 4.5k a week. Again, all whispers

Which pretty much fits in with Panda's figures. Douglas, Prutton, Lucas, Caddis and Ferry have to be on roughly that kind of money.
