not knowing anything about gardening but surley laying all those metal boards over the CG pitch is going to kill most of the grass underneath??
Like when a fair arrives at your local football filed. Theyre there for 3/4 days and when they leave the grass is all yellow and horrid. Surely the CG pictch will look just as bad???

I think the platform is built on a series of struts, so the pitch isn't completely in contact with it, this will also allow for air to get in and allow the grass to breath.

Hmm, you're right you know. Perhaps the surface is heavily perferated to allow for loads of osmosis. :?

or maybe (typically) swindon are just stoopid & should have waited until after the concert to re-lay the pitch. oh well at least it will give king another excuse for next season

I'm sure they are using the same stuff that they do on all the other grounds though. It must be OK to use.

I'm convinced they're going to accidentally break my lovely scoreboard, they keep updating the pics on the website and the first thing I look for is a fully intact scoreboard...

Perhaps the club should put you on a chain, and tie the other end to the foot of the scoreboard. You could be a watch-dog. Cons include: it'll be cold if you are there from now untill next Monday. you'll starve to death and the stage crew would torment you by throwing sticks. Pros include: you get to live at the CG for a few days and you get to go to EJ for free. :? Interested?

I'm thinking that this should probably go in the 'Ground' section.... Ben for moderator!!!. anyway.... What went wrong with the ground? It's only been recently that it's been shit, up till last year it was one of the better ones. (unless I have deluded memories)
