Always backup your phone in iTunes first though, that was you can always restore if something goes wrong. It's damn near impossible for an iPhone to be completely bricked by your average Joe. Only people that go messing about too much run the risk of that.

I've jailbroken mine, yes. But I didn't use jailbreakme. I used Spirit, which is Jailbreakme's predecessor.
