.......not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but feel free to remove if it has, but it seems to me quite significant that a consortium, which includes two of our more recent chairman....have bought a chunk of  land( 7 acres) and a stadium at Hunt's Copse....for use by Supermarine.

Could this be the start of the end game for football at the CG.....we know without redevelopment the club goes to the wall, but will  the aforementioned gentlemen, step in and try and keep the name alive....and work back through the pyramid,  it would certainly be an option.

Interesting Reg.......

Cliff Puffett always stuck me as a decent bloke who loved the club, which makes it all the more surprising that he's in partnership with a tool like Hunt.

CP is still close to the present board of STFC, I recently saw him nipping in the King's Arms at lunchtime with carson.

After the initial heart ache, wailing, gnashing of teeth etc which would ensue following the club's demise (IF that were to happen, but let's face it, it could) I think it would be fantastic to start again with a clean slate and do an AFC Wimbledon, having 4 or 5 years storming through the Pyramid back into the football league. It would be like the Macari years all over again.

I know a couple of AFC fans and they are LOVING it!

CP is still a shareholder, I think he expected to rejoin the Board at the time of the Consortium, but something I know not what scupppered it.
