It would be interesting to see what would happen if a firm offer of £2M+ comes in. Would he get out of bed then I wonder?

We'd be mental not to take an offer like that! I'd rip their arm off.

We could buy and pay wages for about 4 players with £2 million. I take it in a shot.

We'd also need to replace 49 goals upfront.
Money or not - that won't be easy.

I think we said the same thing last season when Cox left.

Well, that was only 31 goals!!
...but...after Cox it was obvious improving our goal keeping and defending would some what counter act the huge loss of goals.
This season we've had a good defence and keepers, sure there is always room for improvement but not enough for the same kind of drastic improvement we saw from Coxs season to last season.

20 goals - We're already landed with replacing Paynter's

20 goals - We're already landed with replacing Paynter's
(20 Goals + Paynters Goals + new penalty takers goals) - Payters Penalties = still lots of goals to replace.

Any striker worthy of the name should be able to take and score penalties.
