I think we all would - HOWEVER, the main failing in that defence was the age and lack of leader.
Whilst, we have better (much better) CBs we still lack the leader and its a very young trio. All 23 and under?

Greer's departure doesn't kill any optimism I have. It's not ideal, I grant you, but he was no Colin Calderwood or Shaun Taylor

Re Vincent: He was 5'11, so not really giving a great deal away to the majority of strikers.
Re: LJF. As stated he's 23 and just finished his first season in England. For this reason, and for the fact that 3 CBs isn't enough, I'd like us to bring in an experienced CB to lead the line and oversee the development of the young trio we currently have.

I'd like to think so too. But he does look a bit like O'Hanlon, and that doesn't bode well......

Caddis can't play centre half by the way but can play at both fullback positions and on both wings.

It's a shame Vincent has already signed elsewhere, as i certainly wouldn't have mind seeing him back here, even if he was a bit part player. Plus he can play anywhere along the backline. Ho hum...

That's exactly what I thought! Great minds, Barry! Let's hope he doesn't become captain....I'd soon start to worry otherwise...Hah!

It's not ideal, I grant you, but he was no Colin Calderwood or Shaun Taylor I totally disagree, getting rid of your most experience defender is very worrying, didn't we leak enough last year. It has every probabilty we will start the season with a back four with the average age of 21/22!
