Things like that usually go to the sponsors. When I was at school I knew a kid who's Dad worked at Nationwide, he managed to get hold of one of the banners that says "XXX - Play Off Final Winners 200X/200X" (I forget the team and year).

That's a shame.

Car parking at Hillingdon was only £1.

Breakfast round a mate's house first thing.

Football wise - pleased that Lucas improved with the game and made some good saves at 1-0 late on which kept us in with the smallest of shouts of getting back into the match.

The 500k that the club got for getting to the final.

Sensible speculation resulting in a decent reward. Just a little bit more could result in a windfall of 4m for playing in the Championship.

My positives of yesterday were

Not having any arguments with anyone

Having a good sing and supporting the lads

Seeing Alan Sheehan knock the linesman over

The walk from Wembley Central to the stadium, surrounded by red and white.

My kids - born and bred in the smoke - going to Wembley for the first time, decked out in Swindon shirts.

And they sang more than any other cunt around us.

Seeing old mates.

Knowing that thanks to AF and DW we've got a bright future.

Oh, and meeting Jonathan Douglas's uncle from Ireland before the game.

Having a beer in Leicester Sq in the evening and seeing a passing Harri Krishna parade getting a load of extra 'guests' as they passed a pub packed with celebrating Millwall fans.  The tourists  around didn't know wether to shit themselves and run or take photos, fucking funny.

But Swindon related, can't think of any.

My kids enjoyed it because the youngest it was his first game so didn't know what to expect and the oldest has been going for 3 years so is used to disappointing performances. And they were both too young to realise what an embarrassment we were.

The DuckHeads.

Other than that, a total waste of over 400 quid.

Highlights for me were managing to overcome my Friday night hangover on the train down from Manchester with ham buttys and a can.

Spending a good 45 mins sheltering from the rain at the side of Wembley arena, drinking cold beers bought from tesco express and chatting crap with my dad. Then same again next to the tesco express on the roundabout with a good 50 or so town fans having a good sing song pre game. There was 90 minutes of crap but a good day out either way and I know what pub i'll be in next year pre-game, yep, tesco express!

I think I met the Poole Town Chairman. We were chanting Charlie Charlie Austin at the tv before the game and some old fella in a suit and Poole Town tie came over and started chatting to us. Massive grin on his face.
