Didnt go to any pubs..baught cans and mingled on the streets with both sets of fans and no aggro, just banter.
Mr Patel giving me a free can of Vodka and Cranberry juice.
Seeing whole families together enjoying themselfs...in blue or Red.
The sun peeking out during the match and warming and drying my soacked body.
And to finish off last night watching the BBC lge show and them showing my mini interview and my wife agreeing i didnt make a complete twat of myself(for once)

Apart from the result i took alot of positives from yesterday.

you know, the small things. the trivial things that you enjoyed, made you smile etc.

when that millwall player was down injured for ages in the second half. it was dead silent and then this piercing shout of "give 'im a plaster!" came from a young kid sat a couple of rows behind us.

HAHA that was my little step bro. He was sat with my Dad, his Mrs and my bro. They told me about that when I met back up with them at the car.

For me, seeing all the coaches, cars, mini buses, private coaches on the M4, that feeling that washed over me when the arch came into view. "Shit, this is real now"
Singing in the green man, singing in the streets, singing in the concourse with my mates and random groups, all arms round eachother, absolutely buzzing.

Got to see my beloved Swindon at Wembley. With all the shit we've been through pre Fitton, I thought I'd be lucky to see us play again.

Haha, I've got him hooked. Tbf I think he looks up to me, he's only a single child, so I'm his big big bro I suppose.

i ended up in old town last night.got talking to some blokes in the prince of wales who it turned out were sat directly behind me at wembley.i didn't know that until they told me.
anyway.one of them was a 66 year old,and he went into great detail about the team in the 60s.and tales from the time.it really was a great conversation, and it was the best part of the day for me.he even helped me carry my bro in law home down the hill to his house, who was absolutely blotto by the end of the night.

It was my 8 yo daughter's game and despite the performace she really enjoyed it. In fact she wants to go to the CG next season and is still wearing her swindon t-shirt today.

Apart from that, fuck all!

Once it got to 3 then yeah, nothing. But I did enjoy myself beforehand. Went downhill from then on though.

Speaking seriously for a second (sorry!), but I thought Lucas had a good game (apart from a couple of dodgy attempted cross claims) , I thought Cuthbert completely carried the other 3 at the back (who were all crapm although I forgive Sheehan as he clearly wasn't 100% fit) and I though Douglas was committed and industrious as ever.

Also, my chicken and chips was alright, as was the beers in the ground (although £4 a pint is a bit steep!).

Eight cans of 1664, a cold Ginsters AND change from a tenner.

A pleasant surprise compared to Dublin prices.

The general day was alright. That Eddies Bar pub was pretty decent. Good atmosphere and all. Good night out afterwards. Aside from the game it was a good day.

Very true.  (Sadly, the singing in Thirsty Eddies was 50 times better than the singing in the ground.)

Great to meet so many faces I knew from over the years.  There was one chap in Eddies who had flown in from Belfast for the day and who I last saw at the London Reds beer nights about 6 or 7 years ago.

We were in Thirsty Eddies as well and loved it. "We are the South Side we are the south side we are the south side over here"........Was really buzzing in there and some real football banter.
Sadly it all started to go downhill after...............
