He looks strong though, so if there is some skill aswell he should do OK in this league.
I just hope he can cross a ball. When was the last time we had someone play regularly on the right and consistantly put good balls into the box? David Beckham When I say we, I mean we as in STFC. Appologies if I didn't make that clear.  |

ok lets not get carried away though. fair enough shakes 'sounds' good, but lets not forget eric sabin was announced as 'the next henry'! likewise lloyd opara came here with loads of promise but soon buggered off. we shouldv'e learnt by now that king likes to over-exagerate things.
like others have said a footballers 'word' means nothing either. i'm sure if another club came in between now and july 1st and offered him twice as much money he would be off.
on a positive note at least we have attempted to sign someone & hopefully will be the first of many

It all sounds positive regarding young Shakes abilities, we need to bear in mind that his first team experience is limited to one 4-game loan spell with Bury though if I'm correct His scoring record at Bolton was superb though, better than one goal a game. Also 2 in 4 starts for Bury not so bad either.  |
