Made an overpayment on the mortgage yesterday.  Not a massive amount, but enough to make the balance fall below a nice round number...which is immensely satisfying.

(Maybe a little more satisfying than it really should be.  I think I'm getting middle aged.)

The fucking mother of all hangovers and realising that I'm supposed to be meeting spy and crispy (the new clique) in the pub in one hour, followed by some other mates when they've gone to the football.

I can barely even see.

Five years ago I'd have carried on drinking no problems. Why can't I do that anymore? What does age do to us? It makes us wise but less awesome.

Has everybody been invited to go meet Ed Miliband in a weeks time, or am I special?

It's childish I know, but the commentator on the Football League Show rounding up his summary of Preston v Swansea with "Preston's 3rd win in a row, as Preston's great escapees shifted another load of dirt from their tunnel" Cheesy

My lad scoring the winner and getting MOTM for the second week running (in both cases) in a tough away game. In fact, I think it's only watching him playing on a Sunday morning as an antedote to Saturday afternoons that's kept me going this season.

Particularly now

Wouldn't be so sure of that.

Please tell me that photo is genuine.

That would look tacky in Blackpool's Louis Toussaud's wax works.

Yes it's geniune, they showed the unveiling on Sky Sports's coverage of Fulham v Blackpool with Al Fayed doing a Micheal Jackson dance with a black child.

I give it a week before it's covered in paint.  Possibly pink.
