Would love to see an NBA game, is it any good?

The game we went to was the Golden State Warriors v Toronto Rapters who are both one of the poorer teams in the league. GSW won 138-101 or something in a totally one sided match.

That said, I thoroughly enjoyed it and previously I thought basketball was boring. Some of the things these guys do is pretty impressive.

I really got into the college March Madness tournament as well when over there. The good thing about basketball is the quickness of the game when the ball is in play. Ok there are loads of timeouts and fouls etc but in play it is end to end stuff.

What about the cheerleaders?

The Nets played the Raptors at the 02 arena couple of weeks back

We had seats right at the back of the arena so from a distance the cheerleaders looked hot (as you would expect). The Oracle Arena holds 20k, not sure how big the O2 arena is but i'd imagine you'd need to pay a decent amount for good seats. Even though we were far from the court, you could fairly easily see what was going on. Was a good crowd as well for a (on paper) poor match up.

The Raptors (along with Washington who GSW beat a few days after the game we went to) have some of the worst away form in the league so I imagine the Nets won fairly hansomely.

I saw the Boston Celtics play the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs back in 2005.

Very impressed, I didn't find the stop/start aspect of the game THAT bad either.

I saw the Raptors v Orlando magic in the playoff first round in 2008. It was the only game they won in the series.

Not a big basketball fan but it was pretty good. And I'd say the Canadians git "it" more than the Yanks. As proved when the only magic fan in Toronto came up the stairs to find his seat Smiley

For cheerleaders my trip to San Francisco was the best! Met Raiders cheerleaders in the NFL shop on pier 49, they were signing calendars and reduced grown men to giggling schoolgirls. Then saw the rest at the Raiders game from prime seats. Then later in the week saw loads of beautiful women coming in to Planet Hollywood - the 49ers calendar launch Smiley

At GSW everytime there was a time out, something was going on. Like handing out free pizzas to random people in the crowd, or burgers on parachutes coming out of the top of the arena. And scoring hoops from half way for cash etc etc.

My credit card company have already corrected my balance after yesterday's incident of fraud.

A trip to the hospital with the wife turned out to be nothing and she's been given the all clear, which in turn has led to me having a sneaky Friday afternoon off Smiley
