Not until 20th March.

Vernal equinox you’re referring to. Tomorrow is the first day of the meteorological spring.

When buying from Amazon, you can support charitable causes through smile

This has been around for a while but it wasn't until a few months ago I realised you can select which charity to support from a very large list. For example, the local prospect hospice charity is the one I selected.

This has been around for a while but it wasn't until a few months ago I realised you can select which charity to support from a very large list. For example, the local prospect hospice charity is the one I selected.

A lot of people don't realise that when they play the lottery they are also donating to charity. Whilst Amazon Smile is a good thing, it's still also putting money into Bezos pocket too.

The point JBZ misses is that supporting someone on an independent charitable mission, where they have set aside their free time, put their body through a tough time and so on, is probably a more honorable thing to support if having choice to do so.

That isn't always possible of course but I'm sure JBZ will have some predetermined clever dick or sly comment that will rubbish anything said here. I'd much rather he had the bollocks to talk to my sister face to face, who has accrued the 420+ miles inside 3months, rather than giving offhanded comments as per. He does it often but I'll be the one getting reported for bullying no doubt.

Prospect Hospice is a very good charity to support btw.

Bamboo, you made reference to buying stuff on Amazon. I merely mentioned that if you have to buy stuff from there (rather than supporting you local economy), using Smile means that at least some good comes from your purchase.

Don't worry my friend, I don't take it personally - I am well aware that you have a tendency to react in a wholly disproportionate way to fairly benign posts.

Enough of that tripe ^^^^^^

TTTMYSOMYFG

My sister. Has finished breaking her target of walking 850k steps over three months and has just smashed the ONE MILLION mark. That equates to around 422 miles. The consistency to maintain this over a period of time is incredible.

But it hasn't been just about her. Nope. She's also been raising awareness (as well as some cash) for Alzheimers Society.

Times are tough but maybe instead of ordering some pointless item off Amazon just after a recent payday, maybe do something selfless instead Smiley

Fair play to your sister Bamboo, that's a lot of stepping!

Noted. I'm having a consequential meltdown as we speak.

I've added a contribution Bamboo. My gran had the disease and it was a horrible way to end life. (as many diseases are of course) One of my wife's relations got it before she was 50 and is now a shell of a human. Very sad.

Anyway, fair play to Hayley.
