Completing couch to 5k. What a great programme it is. Worked for me and didn't need the full 9 weeks to do it.

At least she's safe, but this did make me smile. One thing you definitely wouldn't want to look down and see when you're on the crapper  Smiley

Good work Arriba. The wife is just starting this again after getting over half way through last year. She is trying to quite the tabs for good so this is motivation for her.

Not saying I'm easily distracted, but my perusing of potential new sensible but fun family cars has quickly turned into looking at Japanese import VIP luxury barges and Lexus V8s. Cheesy

My next car will be electric. The look of the Honda e makes me smile but the range isn't good enough for my requirements.

As someone that tends to shun social media in general I have to say this weekend something positive came out of it.

I setup an Instogram account yonks ago that I have never used and got an email this weekend that someone started following me. Curiousity got the better of me to see who it was and it happened to be someone I used to play 5 a side football with in Edinburgh on a Monday evening. He was a massive Dunfermline Athletic fan so there was the usual banter between the mainly Hearts supporters and him. Anyway, he has been walking (virtually) from John O'Groats to Lands End and back and recording it on Instagram. Sadly his wife died of brain cancer and so he is walking in her memory. He hit the half way mark on her birthday.

Ironically enough, someone I played football with in London, who was a massive Crystal Palace fan sadly died of brain cancer last year which was a huge shock as he was so healthy and had a huge appetite for life.

Anyway, the point of my post is that social media has brought my awareness of this to my attention and I will be making a contribution to the charity that Andy is walking for. It doesn't seem to be loading properly at the moment but he was saying so far £3,300 has been raised.

Thanks bud.

Good for her. Just gotta push on through. Found the jump up in later weeks quite hard at times and my hips ain't the best. As long as she has a strong will she'll do it. Keep us posted. I found the Facebook group really helpful and friendly.

Have got the Fife Coastal Path booked for July.
Hopefully that will be ok to go ahead.

Thank you WB, you are a gentleman.

My sister lives in Dunfermline, perhaps I should check the Fife Coastal way out when next up there.
