Just as my back was really beginning to complain about sitting on a combination of floor/rug/duvet/pillow/cushions as an improvised sofa, the actual sofa arrived today.

Now need a hammer action drill to put the tv bracket in the wall and then it's all pretty much done.

People who get on a train that is clearly parked with one end up against some buffers and a lack of track beyond, and ask "which direction is this going".

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

It makes me smile as she is fine...

Our young un is 6 now and we decided to get the Wii (we are proper old school) out over the Easter holidays to see if she liked it. Playing tennis she was very frustrating as she didn't really get that she had to move around to get the ball.

However last night playing she suddenly got it, and without warning moved across in front of me and I accidentally clattered her on the back of the head, cue much tears but she is fine thankfully, however the end of my thumb and nail is black now and it bloody hurts!

Little bugger wants to play again this evening!

Reminds me of a recent trip on the Gloucester line.... the DMU was sat happily in its Platform 2 bay, so I went to get on, but was somewhat puzzled by the doors being locked.... guard comes along and wonders what I'm doing.... well says I  "Gloucester train right.... says so the info panel"   Yep, but this one doesn't go for an hour, you need one from London  Doh

Should possibly go in the winds me up thread, but fits better with the above.

Up here northern rail have a habit with such trains of it sitting there with the doors locked until about 1 minute before departure time, at which stage they suddenly unlock and as there are by then hundreds of people waiting something like a rugby scrum ensues as people try and get on all at once and find seats.

Customer service really isn't their priority!

A friend of mine ordered a phone case online and they sent him this message....

Quote
We picked out your order by gently
picking it from the shelves with Japanese
chopsticks and placing it on a silk pillow.

We had specially trained team of
excommunicated runway models to look
at your order to make sure it was perfect.
They all gasped in amazement of how
good your choice of Risingcases was. One
of them rolled over and went into tears -
he no longer works with us.

Once that part was done, our small team
of 7 people got together and celebrated
your order by baking a cake with your
name on it. After the celebration, we
carefully packed your item into our
extremely rare packaging that was
designed by the same guy who invented
Glad Wrap (at least he told us).
We then happily marched down to the
post office with your parcel and waved
with a single tear, 'Goodbye' - your order
has now been sent.

Interesting

I assume that the BTL comments in the Mail are full of people complaining about Europeans coming over here and stealing jobs from hard working British Henge builders!

Who would have thought cardboard packaging costs so much!

To be fair to them, you can be ripped off for more excessively if you like:
