Seems an odd move to leave a pretty cushty job to go and be a number 2.

There could be something going on behind the scenes there I reckon. I remember that at some point last season their board were making noises about having to slash the budget. Now a takeover deal has fallen through. Things may not be rosy down the road.

I would imagine that being no.2 at a Prem club pays considerably more with considerably less ballache than managing a mid table league 1 club looking for investment, plus he probably feels he has taken them as far as he can considering the size of the club?

I don't like heights too much. About 10 years ago I won a free balloon trip in the Tadley village fair. I was shitting myself.

But it was awesome! Its bloody obvious, but I never really thought about it much, there is no breeze  because you are pushed at that speed by it. A real "duh" moment when I realized.

The only shit bit was landing in a locked field - we had to wait an hour the balloon operator tried to find someone so they could recover the basket (they didn't, it was too late in the day)

Just recalled the camp site bar last weekend had Jazz FM in the background. Tuned in this afternoon, the first track was "Pick up the pieces" by The Average White Band. Sweet  Smiley

Walked the 87 miles of the Ridgeway last week from Ivinghoe beacon to Overton hill in under 6 days.
Wild camped out in woods every night.
Bit late to this distance walking malarkey but chuffed with that.

This is something I've always wanted to do.

I love the Ridgeway and the contrast between our end of it with all the rolling downland views, and the other end with its villages and woods.
Shame they're demolishing Didcot Power station though,I love the way it dominates the skyline for miles and looks totally out of place.
