I went to watch Fulham v Middlesbrough last night. The Boro fans have some pretty catchy songs, including one about Aitor Karanka to the tune of La Bamba and they spontaneously burst out into a rendition of Spandau Ballet's Gold at one point when a player was down injured.

More interestingly was the approach in the final third, it was exactly like watching us - lots of movements, passing, crosses but no shots. The Boro fans were equally exasperated with their cries of "forwards!" and such, so it's not just our fans after all.

I prefer judges to be completely unaware of the latest goings on, and to make decisions by the letter of the law...

I liked it when, the judge in the case of Gazza v Penguin Books, could question the defence, thus... "Mr Gascoigne is a very well-known footballer,"  Mr Justice Harman interjected  "Rugby or Association?"  "Isn't there an operetta called La Gazza Ladra?"

I remember seeing Gazza elbowing Steve Foley and Chris Kamara, off the ball at St James's Park.
