Nice one Bob.
Have been considering going to Gumbet recently (as its bloody cheap for deals atm).  What's the general climate over there with regard to attitudes towards tourism?  By that I don't mean the usual pestering that is expected in Turkey Smiley

Not completely sure what you mean by the question but no issues whatsoever, bar the usual pestering to get you into shops, bars and restaurants. We have a gaff in Turkey so come out twice a year and have no problems at all, in fact the people love the English and Irish tourists, that has never changed.

Sutton, if you could water the plants, that would be great mate! Smiley

Thanks. RE: Question. I was just curious and it confirms our media love to stir up BS. Enjoy the rest of your stay.  Cheesy

Autumn's on its way, and this makes me very happy.  It's actually getting dark in the evening now, there's a pleasant chill in the air first thing in the morning, the kids are actually getting to sleep on time again and the humidity has all but disappeared.  Happy days.

Jeremy Corbyn cleaning up in labour leader debate. Nailed it, the other three came across as a bit desperate.

Have you noticed the amount and fatness of the sloes, damsons, crab apples and other general soft fruits. Going to be classic if you like to lay in some sloe gin, damson jam, crab apple jelly etc.

I put it down to the warmth and dryness of April/early May.

We have 3 small crab apple trees at the front that have gone nuts this year.  I expect the unusually wet spell in mid July helped as well.

I'm sure it did, as things were starting to look a bit burnt round the edges....but a wet July isn't that unusual.

Have you tried making crab apple jelly?  Bit of an art to it, but good fun especially if kids are involved.

Never knew they did that, only seen/heard it once, was like a balloon, strange.
