I got chatted up by a lovely old man (he must have been at least 90!) in Melksham earlier! He was on a motorbility scooter and looked very smart in a full suit and bow tie! He stopped to let me past with the buggy and I complimented his bow tie he then went on to chat to me for ages - he told me he plays the bagpipes at weddings and wears nothing under his kilt!  Girl Giggle
Then he asked me if I'd like to go to Costa with him for a coffee!

I've still got it!  Girl Giggle

Reg certainly gets about on his scooter doesn't he.
One minute he's being chased by chain-wielding Hell's Angels.
Then, the next minute, he's chasing Eastern European looking, plane-spotting teaching assistants.

Phil King organised a charity event last night getting the team of 1990 back together.
A mate of mine had a table so I was lucky enough to be invited.
The whole team made it except for Steve Foley and Ross McLaren.
They were introduced one by one with a small bio and stats.
The highlight of the evening, and to the shock of everyone there, Ossie Ardiles was introduced last. Everyone just stood up and applauded when he walked in.
Was a great night, with some good stories.

Edit:
From left to right
Duncan Shearer (white shirt), Tom Jones (Purple shirt), Fitzroy Simpson (hugging Ossie), Steve White (behind Fitzroy), Ossie, Colin Calderwood, Jon Gittens, Alan McLoughlin, David Kerslake, Fraser Digby and Paul Bodin

Who's the beefy one on the left? Duncan Shearer? Can you caption the photo?

Sounds like a great night. My 'first' Swindon Town side as a fan (although I didn't go until the following season)

Did Phil King leave halfway through like he did in 89/90? Smiley

How did you know about her?  Hmmm  BTW she is Eastern European....whereas JFW is more of an Anglo/Celtic rose.

Finaly got round to eating in Ed's Easy Diner today and i can see why its always packed. Ok, so its slightly on the pricey side but it must have been one of the best burgers i have ever had.
Great service too.

I went in there Wednesday, funnily enough. I had a 50% off food voucher and wiffy works not far from the Outlet. I thought it was OK, nothing special. I had a better burger at the Harvester a few months ago to be honest.
Had it not been for the 50% off it essentially would've been £30 for burger, chips and a coke twice.
