My family is about to get bigger again.

We have offered a home to one of my daughters friends, who has been really screwed around in a social care setting.

Social Services have said yes this morning, albeit on a temporary basis at first.

Is she fit?

Very pretty young lady, although she wouldn't ever believe it.

She is going to be with us for at least a fortnight, by which time a decision will get made on a long term plan for her.

She would qualify for a place of her own within a year, but I am hoping that she could be with us up to and through Uni, just to give her a few years to be in a normal family environment. I think she would be very vulnerable if she was just dumped in a flat on her own as soon as she hits 18.

While I don't underestimate some of the difficulties she could pose for my family, it would be great to have a chance to break the cycle of shitness that has been her first 17 years.

Would she not be able to chose to live with you when she hits 18 anyway?... If not as a 'lodger' type set up..

Well done wiggy, I have lots of experience of children's services, my advice would be for both yourselves & the girl to get a family law solicitors if you don't have one already, they are free as it is family law matter. If you need any advice pm me and I will try to help or even recommend some good solicitors.

After the BBC interview here where Cassetteboy appeared with a massive fake tape on his head, he's now released what I think is his greatest work ever.

Quite clever that he waited until the day the copyright laws were relaxed to realise it.

What is even more amusing, was listening just now to Cameron's vomit inducing speech and hearing the daft cunt, make the brilliant Freudian slip, admitting the Tories "resent" the working classes, when he meant to to say "represent". Classic  Smiley
