Carr had what, £3million in K2?

I wonder how much of Dave's £16million inheritance is in cosy little trust funds paying fuck all tax?

What's the matter with a bit of trust planning?  The prblem with this country is people get carried away complaining about things like this, there will probably be a campaign to stop such tax mitigation measures to make sure the rich pay their way. And guess who'll suffer the most, the average man, not the rich. Trust planning is a great way of making sure your children get a decent inheritance, and the tax man doesn't.

People shouldn't be made out to be bad people for placing elements of their income/estate in trusts.

(I know you were making a specific point here Sam - but my point stands as the point you raised gave the impression that DC was doing something wrong by using trusts).

Nothing wrong with trust planning, in fact I would actively encourage it.

My point was more a case of Cameron being the pot calling the kettle black.

Wonder if Cameron will even attempt to close the loophole.

I suspect not.

That's amazing. Especially when you look back at this piece, also about him, from November:

Congrats... i passed my second year last week - can't wait for it to be over now (not that I'm relishing trying to get a job in the current climate with a pointless degree from a former Polytechnic...)
