I'll go on any roller-coaster in the world but not rides that go round and round.

In San Fran, Alcatraz is a good day out, but the thing we enjoyed most was biking the bridge.
Cycle from San Fran across the Golden Gate down into Sausalito & get the Ferry back.

If you like roller coasters then Six Flags in Valencia is worth a day out. Loads of coasters & X2 in particular is excellent.

We travelled from San Fran down to San Diego & back up via Yosemite.

I'm going to Vegas for the 6th time in April.  If you are booking in advance and are on a budget I would recommend the Imperial Palace or Casino Royale.  They are both centre strip (this will save you a hell of a lot of walking) and are cheap as chips.  They are nothing special but at $19 a night for somewhere that's clean and I only sleep for a few hours its perfect.

A good place for breakfast is Ellis Island which was recommended by a cab driver as it's where the locals go.  It;s slightly off strip but for $5 steak and eggs it's worth the walk.  The Garden Buffet in Planet Hollywood is also recommended.

For something different to do we went to the Gun Store which have a shooting range.  Great way to fill a couple of hours shooting everything from small handguns to full on machine guns.

Excellent, I'd like to take in as many of their National Parks as possible, so Yosemite sounds good as do the 'coasters and bikes. Shooting guns is on our to-do list so we'll bear that in mind slinky. Thanks.

OF you lucky bugger, I'd love to do a road trip across the US. You are doing it at the right age, reckon I'm going to have to do it after I've retired and the kids have left home!

On my road trip I'd quite like to go to see the Snoqualmie Falls and other bits around the Twin Peaks location. But mainly I've only ever been to big US cities, I'd like to see how Cleutus and family live in Hicksville. Mind you there is a risk of meeting six fingered banjo players and yocals that want you to squeal like a pig.

Talking of cycling, a guy I work with was off on Wednesday. Turns out on his cycle home a deer jumped out of a bush, he went round it thinking he was lucky only for a second to jump out and send him over the handle bars.

I did a very similar route a few weeks back, the opposite direction to you though. That hill outside Ogbourne St George is more fun going down!

That hill is my nemises and I have to do it that way, maybe one day I'll do it the other way - there are plenty of hills over that way - I'm shredded.

This happened to me on boxing day when I was out doing a little jaunt and 6 dear ran across my path and my nads almost exploded on my handle bars. Strange day that was - met 6 Deer, a one eyed horse and Hugh Dennis.
