Only learnt today that Joelinton is just the one name. I thought this protege was actually a young half Brazilian/half Tynesider called Joe Linton.

My main reason is whenever you listen to commentators say the name it does appear to be fragmented into two words;

"...and it's Joe Linton with the header..."

I'm blaming them for my ignorance

Thought the same once.
Thought the commentators were saying Joe Linton and I hadn’t heard of him.

The more urbane commentators call him Joel Inton who is presumably a posh cousin who went to boarding school.

I'm waiting for the elusive Jolene Ton to be heard. Apparently it's an urban legend, whereby it comes in the form of reaching a cricket milestone that is accompanied by the voice of Dolly Parton.

Finally made a curry I'm chuffed to bits with. The Mrs bought me Misty Ricardo's books for Christmas and they're a game changer. I can't recommend them highly enough. Tonight was my first attempt (Madras) and it was easily the best curry I've ever made. Can't wait to make the others.
