Whenever i see the term "hand cooked crisps" i can't help but invisage a bunch of people picking up a bunch of sliced spuds in their hands and dunking them in a vat of hot oil.

Interesting, IPA and real ales never ever give me a headache or hangover no matter how much of it I drink (up to 7 or 8 pints) but chemically lagers like Grolsch, Stella, Carlsberg etc it only takes about 4 to give me a headache.

Thing is, on Wednesday I was on a 12 hour day shift, then at a wedding reception, then a 12 hour day shift followed by the works do.

Fatigue could be a contributing factor..

It doesn't even take four pints of lager for me to get a headache, I can almost guarentee a bad head on a single bottle of lager, i'm sure it is chemically induced.

Not that I can drink 8 pints of beer anymore, but 3 or 4 and I'm usually fine in the morning

Could be - Newcastle Brown Ale which is all chemicals has never agreed with me, similarly I can drink large amounts of wife beater and will be fine but Grolsch completely buggers me up!

I used to work with a lass who could drink alcohol during a night out to a point and then it would make her start to hiccup uncontrollably and she had to stop, totally did her head in but meant she never had a hangover!

Funnily enough, it didn't feel like a 'hangover' as such, more of a cloudy head.. I know that sounds like a hangover, but I didn't have the nausea that comes with a hangover (or with mine, anyway).

Proper ale farts, though.

I tend to get a cloudy head as well. I often don't even notice until I try to do some work, at which point I really struggle as I could read a sentence 3 times and still not know what it says.

I know what you mean..

First thing I could think of this morning was 'I hope this clears before my night shift tonight'.

Rest assured: It has.

I don't know if it's an infatuation with Miss Lott, man love for Atkinson, nostalgia or a combination of all of those things but I simply just love this.

I think nostalgia probably plays the biggest part. I remember as a kid that this was on an LP along with other kids tunes.

Along with the laughing policeman and 'right said Fred' (not the band).

No idea where to put this it popped up on my you tube channel. I think we're the team in black? And I think it's recent?
