Manager not available for new signing photo? No problem, just put a "manager-a-like" mask on some random stand in:

Quote from: BBC Sport
The Czech Republic have their first corner...in the 99th minute.

A bit mental, this match.

My Dad's school reports from the 50s. The language in them amuses me more than anything.

"He jokes too much and is inclined to be conceited. If he exercised all his talents, rather than only half of them, he may not be so miserably low in position."

"He has ability but must learn to canalise his energies"

Having just read my son's somewhat similar end-year report, I'm curious to know how your dad turned out. Please don't tell me the boy's going to support Spurs.

If your dad was at school in the fifties, you must have been rather a late entry on his CV weren't you?

And another thing: what's with the new avatar? Your old one was one of the best on the TEF.

Ha mine said similar things but I don't think they call children "conceited" now do they? Or use words like "canalise". It's usually a bit more ambiguously phrased.

Funnily enough the sports report was always at the end and they said he was excellent for both the football and cricket team and basically annulled the rest of it. He had a good career, I wouldn't worry too much about your offspring just yet Smiley

Yeah, the story of my birth is a long and sort of miraculous one but he was quite old in the scheme of things.

I realise I've just in the previous 2 paragraphs suggested that my Dad is Jimmy Greaves and I am Jesus. He was never a pro footballer and I am only considered a deity in certain parts of the Valleys where I have demonstrated my ability to read.

I will change my avatar back when my joy at yesterday's result has calmed a little  Smiley

Invest in a shoebox, and deal in cash, it's all getting rather silly with people using cards and expecting everything to be ok. They want you to be stupid.... Oh this could be in the alternative thread, but i'm a bit smug with this crap being in HIM, oh I mean IT.

It's nice they've worked hard to subvert the idea that people who spend their time in starbucks are posh hipsters by focusing on a branch in Saffron Walden and a girl called Fleur
