It's quite reasonable for a man to get excited about coming to France.

Brilliant!  We're going to have to swap notes.   Smiley

French autoroutes #### all over our motorways, so you'll love the driving element of your trip, I'm sure.  Takes a few hours to get used to driving on the 'wrong' side, no more.

We're staying in a cabin/caravan on Lake Annecy for 8 nights...so a few day trips planned to Switzerland and Italy while we're there.  Our stop over on the way down is in Dijon (where you're also going, I see).  They're so well set up for convenience/budget hotels over there...makes planning a trip very easy.

We booked our ferry crossings with the company we booked the cabin with, and paid £30 each way.
We are going to drive down to Switzerland and Italy next year and will go for a few days longer next time, take in the South of France in summer too.

I intend to take in the countryside so won't use the autoroutes much as we are in no rush.

Can't wait Smiley hope you enjoy your trip (£30 each way isn't bad we are paying £45 each way for the tunnel but Mr Tesco is footing the bill).

I was going to suggest that booking the Ferry was probably a little more important than an add-on, surely?

I'm hoping to retire to France when the time arrives. Love the pace of life outside of the big cities. Last time we went I spent 4 hours driving round looking for Cigarettes on a Sunday afternoon. Not a hope until the Monday morning.

Thank the Lord Man Utd won the semi final, got the impression that the BBC would have sought not to bother showing the final if they hadn't got through.

Cashed out my bet as soon as Luton went 1 up. They let in an equaliser with 2 minutes to go!

£101.87 which will be reinvested  on Ballymac Maisy tonight at Blunsdon

You've got £100 to waste on gambling? Can't you just give it to me? Smiley
