I love the way that the seasons and nature relate to each other in a seemingly timeless pattern....although of course it isn't, nor has it ever been timeless, just operating on a different scale.

At this time of year I always feel a tinge of sadness, that the swifts of Old Town will depart....this summer, there has been some reasonably sized screeching parties, which is good as I had the feeling numbers had decreased in recent years.  The swifts always arrive about May 3rd, give or take a couple days, and always depart for North Africa about August 3rd, give or take a couple of days.  There were a decent number about yesterday evening....I'd imagine they'll have gone today, or maybe tomorrow.

So these swifts...always turn up during the first week in May and clear off again come the first week in August?  Obviously not football fans, then.

Had a job interview at 10am today. Start work 9am tomorrow. Back to 9-5 with weekends off with the Health Authority.

The preceeding 18 months with Morrissons have been a waste of my life. Still have to decide whether or not to try and seek and restitution through some kind of tribunal. Wankers.

Will be able to get to some games again now. Roll on having a life.

Silly thing, seeing two Swindon fans on the Sky Sports Football League promo. Must have been shot recently, they were in the "Imagine Cruising' top in front of the SB/Shrivvy mural.

I saw that when I was in the gym a week or so back. Made me feel warm and fuzzy inside!

Was that hurling or football?

Used to love GAA Football when I was living in Kerry - fucking unbeatable for years they were - The Gooch was the main man.

They do love nicknames in Ireland.

There was always an edge when Kerry played Cork

It was football Audrey. Mayo are quite good at the game, but always fall short in the final, usually against the Dubs.

Kerry v Mayo in the semi to see who will (more than likely) play Dublin.

Celtic have no competition in the SPL so its no wonder they can't really compete with anyone half decent.

They need Rangers.

The Lawrence Arms have just announced are touring the UK. I've been waiting for this to happen for years.
