Everytime I see the last minute Pox own-goal on the TV, from 2 weeks ago.

It's always guaranteed to put a smile on my face !!

This one? Tragically unlucky. I had to watch it twice to check how tragically unlucky it was.

I'll just watch it once more to check it's tragically unlucky. Edit: Yep, tragic. And unlucky.

Don't think there's many of us aren't susceptible, mate.  Just so happens I'm half-way around the World and see all the drunken late-night posts over my morning coffee.

This was the beast, 4-6-0 Castle Class 5043...Earl of Mount Edgecumbe.  Swindon built, originally called Barbury Castle ( but soon changed to its present moniker)

Got our tickets for a railtour behind the only mainline certified Class 52. Western Champion. Didcot - Salisbury - Exeter - Taunton - Westbury - Swindon on the late May bank holiday Monday.

Swindon built and I am going to love it. I had a few rides behind them in the mid seventies before the HSTs were introduced.

I need to get on a steam service soon. Miss the smell of smoke. Never been lucky enough to see a special go through Swindon before, but it must be brilliant, such a resonance with the history of the town.

Hey HT, get a ticket on this one. Regular steam service down to Weymouth. It stops at Yeovil Pen Mill as well, one of the few remaining locations in the West Country with working semaphore signals. You need to get to Bath or Bristol TM first though.

Oooh a sexy beast....D1015

Soon be all electric...on my pedal  yesterday spotted 66051...up the sidings, by Coopers EMR, old Highworth Branch.

Rake of scrap metal, bound for who knows where....this pic gives a flavour of the scene, but add in approx 15 or so fully, laden open containers.
