…but…we changed database (I think) and everyone’s account migrated across but they joined date change (I think) perhaps when Barry Scott took ownership from Dazzza.
In my mind I have the TEF origins around the start of the 05/06 season. I met Yeovil Red, Ralphy, Magicroundabout, Walrus, Sonic Youth (and possibly others) in the Merlin before our first home game which was Oldham (I think) I’m sure we lost.
Think some people had met up in the away end at Barnsley on the Saturday previous (we lost)
Although I have a feeling I didn’t migrate over straight away.

I think someone needs to start a 'Mythical Origins of Thetownend.com' thread and get an abusive mod to pin it, it might save this conversation happening every six months or so. Dazzza started it in late Nov/early Dec 2004, with the first version lasting only a few days(all those posts are gone). The change that caused the reset was possibly when Dazzza handed the reigns to Whits? Barry took over later. |
