Anybody else received calls from the 'National Crime Agency' saying their National Insurance number has been compromised? "If you don't press 1 now to speak to an agent, you will be arrested immediately"  Cheesy

That's real.

Nahh glamping is generally anything from a Yurt or Bell tent that has been all set up ready to go, with camping gear/equip and supplies in situ..right through to those little "pods" which are kinda like mini Hobbit houses and possibly a Shepherds Hut (but then you're getting into the realms of caravan style).

Love getting just down to the basics with a sheet of canvas and a few poles. A Bluet stove, some kindling and there's not much else needed. Anyone who doesn't like "proper" camping (medical reasons aside) has probably never done it properly or whoever took them didn't.

Some folk do seem to have an internal "Townie" which means they just can't shake the urban facade Smiley

Depends where you are and if it's permissible/safe to do so but totally agree. A proper campfire is always lovely, especially coupled with a clear night sky.

Almost put this in the Coronavirus thread but chose this instead.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-56237586

I know there will be some that probably are desperate to get back to office work etc but I have to say as someone who works in Canary Wharf I don't miss going into that overpriced soulless hellspot one bit and when we get back to 'normality' will be going out of my way to be travelling into work at the most 2 days per week. Clearly he has a business to run, but to say people are 'fatigued' from working at home is sheer nonsense, aside from the corporate nobs that enjoy queing up to pay over ten quid for a coffee and a croissant.

Yes, I don't have children so I am not having to balance home-schooling which I have huge sympathy for people that do, but it would be interesting to see how many people that do have to work in places like Canary Wharf and the like actual are 'fatigued' being at home versus the drive to return to travelling across London in poorly conditioned and packed metal boxes etc. I get that he is looking after his own welfare etc but I don't think what he is saying rings true.

I get what he is saying TBH

Different circumstances to you having to travel into London but I’m gagging to get back into office 2/3 days a week.  The social aspect of it, I’ll also be more productive as I struggle with motivation at home, tend to end up often doing the bare minimum required.

I think most reasonable companies will be flexible once this shitshow is over and let workers find the balance that suits them

I’d happily never have another fucking Skype meeting in my life, “Barry, Barry..........you’re on mute”

I miss working in an office. Working from home does have its upsides but there's also a few downsides.

Agree with what you said. But my worry with the above is that since companies will look to reduce their bricks and mortar.

True

My town is home to 2 big Lloyds TSB office sites, already been announced one of them is being sold off and it’s not down to job losses
